Overnight Journey

Meet the trip captain and fellow travelers in Delhi by evening. After a short briefing, begin your overnight journey toward the beautiful Kinnaur Valley. The route starts from the plains and slowly moves into the Himalayan region through Shimla, Narkanda, Rampur, and Sangla side.

Last Village of India Experience

Arrive in Sangla or Chitkul and check in to your hotel, homestay, or campsite. After freshening up, explore the beautiful Baspa Valley and visit Chitkul, known for its wooden houses, peaceful riverside views, and mountain village charm. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy your first night in the Himalayas.

Kinner Kailash Views

After breakfast, check out and drive toward Kalpa. The journey offers beautiful views of the Sutlej River, mountain roads, apple orchards, and Kinnaur landscapes. On arrival, check in and enjoy stunning views of the Kinner Kailash range. If time and local conditions allow, visit Suicide Point and nearby Kalpa village areas.

Entering Spiti Valley

After breakfast, begin one of the most scenic drives of the circuit as the route shifts from Kinnaur greenery to the cold desert landscapes of Spiti. Visit Nako Lake and Nako village before continuing toward Gue Monastery, famous for the naturally preserved mummy. By evening, reach Tabo and check in for an overnight stay.

Monasteries and Pin Valley Landscapes

Start your day with a visit to the ancient Tabo Monastery. Later, drive toward Dhankar Monastery, located beautifully on a cliff above the Spiti and Pin river confluence. Continue toward Pin Valley and explore its raw mountain landscapes, quiet villages, and cold desert beauty. By evening, reach Kaza, the main town of Spiti Valley.

Key Monastery, Chicham, Langza, Hikkim and Komic

This is the most important sightseeing day of the trip. After breakfast, begin the Kaza local circuit covering Key Monastery, Kibber Village, and Chicham Bridge. Later, continue toward the high-altitude village belt of Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. Visit the famous Langza Buddha Statue, send a postcard from Hikkim Post Office, and explore Komic before returning to Kaza by evening.

Important Note:
This is a slightly packed sightseeing day because one Kaza night has been reduced. Start early to cover all major points comfortably.

Kunzum Pass and Moon Lake Camping

After breakfast, check out from Kaza and drive toward Chandratal. Cross Losar village and continue toward Kunzum Pass, one of the most iconic high-altitude passes of Himachal. Later, proceed toward Chandratal campsite area and visit Chandratal Lake depending on road access, weather, and local parking rules. Overnight stay will be in camps near Chandratal, Batal, or an operational alternative.

Distance: Approx. 95 to 110 km
Travel Time: Approx. 6 to 8 hours
Stay: Chandratal Camps / Batal / Losar alternative

Important Note:
Chandratal access is seasonal and depends on snow clearance, road condition, local permissions, and campsite operations.

Full-Day Return Journey

Wake up early and begin the long return journey from Chandratal toward Delhi. Drive through Batal, Chhatru, Gramphu, Atal Tunnel or Rohtang route, and continue toward Manali. This itinerary does not include a Manali night stay. After a short meal or refreshment break near Manali/Kullu, continue the overnight journey toward Delhi.

Route: Chandratal → Batal → Chhatru → Gramphu → Atal Tunnel / Rohtang → Manali → Mandi → Chandigarh → Delhi
Distance: Approx. 650 to 700 km
Travel Time: Approx. 18 to 22 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions
Stay: Overnight journey / Trip ends in Delhi
