About Chardham Yatra 2026
The Char Dham portals open annually on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya (May) and close shortly after Diwali (November). For the exact opening and closing dates of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath this season, please contact our team directly, as dates are finalized by the temple committees based on the Hindu calendar.
Yes, biometric or online registration is absolutely mandatory for every pilgrim as per the Uttarakhand Government guidelines. Wonder Bharat Holidays handles the entire registration process for you. Once you book your package, you simply need to provide your ID proofs, and our team will issue your official Yatra slips.
A standard, safe, and comfortable Char Dham Yatra by road takes 10 Nights and 11 Days starting from Haridwar or Dehradun. Attempting to rush the journey faster by road is not recommended due to high-altitude mountain terrain, driving restrictions after sunset, and the need for proper acclimatization.
While Yamunotri (6 km) and Kedarnath (16 km) require steep uphill treks, elderly or physically challenged pilgrims can comfortably complete the journey using alternative options like ponies, doli/palki (palanquins), or helicopter services. We highly recommend consulting a physician before booking, as the route reaches altitudes exceeding 11,000 feet.
Yes! We offer customizable packages that include Kedarnath Helicopter tickets from operational helipads like Guptkashi, Phata, or Sersi. Because helicopter slots are heavily regulated by the government and sell out instantly, we advise booking your package at least 2–3 months in advance.
